Season: Appeared in all 39 games of Penn State’s historic 33-6-0 season, recording nine goals, tied for the most by a defenseman in program history, and 24 assists for 33 points... Her 33 points tied Kendall Butze for the most by a defenseman in a single season in program history... The mark tied for sixth nationally among defensemen and second among freshman defenders... Ranked 13th in points among all freshman skaters nationally... Her 24 assists are the second-most by a freshman defenseman in the country and rank eighth among all defensemen nationally... Five of her nine goals came on the power play, tied for fifth-best in the AHA and tied for 27th nationally... Led the entire AHA in plus/minus at +45... Blocked 29 shots on the season.
No. 9 St. Lawrence (9/26): Recorded the first two points of her collegiate career with two assists. at Vermont (10/3): Notched an assist on Tessa Janecke’s powerplay goal in the second period. at Vermont (10/4): Assisted on Taylor Lum and Janecke’s goals in the first period. at Delaware (10/11): Set a season-high with four points on two goals and two assists... Her goals came back-to-back across the second and third frames before setting up the next two goals. No. 15 Mercyhurst (10/17): Played a role in all three goals of the 3-0 victory, scoring one and assisting on the other two. Lindenwood (10/24): Tallied an assist on Janecke's powerplay goal in the second period to cap off a four-game point streak. Syracuse (11/14): Posted two points with a goal and an assist. at RIT (11/22): Scored a powerplay goal to open the scoring in the first period, assisted on Katelyn Roberts’ goal in the second then potted the game-winner in the final frame. at Mercyhurst (1/9): Recorded a powerplay goal in the third period. Delaware (1/23): Set up goals scored by Mikah Keller and Taya MacDonald. Robert Morris (1/31): Registered two points on the power play with a goal and an assist. at Lindenwood (2/6): Posted four points, one goal and three assists, all in the first period to tie her season-high in scoring. Syracuse (2/27, AHA Semifinals Game One): Assisted on the first goal of the 7-0 shutout victory, scored by Janecke. Syracuse (2/28, AHA Semifinals Game Two): Set up the game-winning goal tally from Abby Stonehouse on the power play.
PRIOR TO PENN STATE
Heads to Happy Valley following a historic stint in the CSSHL with RINK HA Kelowna... Finished her junior career with the highest assist total by a female in CSSHL history, booking 107 helpers during her time split between RINK HA Kelowna and Okanagan HA Prep... Her most recent season in 2024-25 saw the pacific northwest native log a 10-36—46 campaign in which she was named the CSSHL Top Defenseman... Helped guide RINK HA Kelowna to a pair of CSSHL Championships in the last two years, establishing herself as one of the highest-profile blue-line prospects on the continent... Additionally, Maynard has played alongside the Canadian U18 Women’s National Team, helping power Team Canada to a WJC gold medal finish in 2024-25 with a 1-3—4 scoring effort across six games played.
PERSONAL
Youngest child and only daughter of Dean and Thasha Maynard, she has one older brother named Andon... Pproud member of the Metis Nation of British Columbia and has won the Regional and Provincial Indigenous Youth Excellence in Sports Award from I-SPARC, the Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity & Recreation Council of Canada... Maynard plans to study marketing in the Smeal College of Business, ultimately hoping to begin a career as a police officer at the conclusion of her playing days... Away from the rink, she enjoys long distance hiking, biking, roller blading, swimming and playing pickleball.
