Learn to Play Hockey Classes are for children 4-14. There are 5 levels to our program (Hockey 1-5), taught in 6 week sessions, that start with the first steps on the ice to the fundamental hockey skills.
The Nittany Lion Development Program (NLD) offers an in-house hockey experience for skaters ages 7-12. The program will have two practices a week focused on fundamental ice hockey skills. Practices will consist of a mix of skills and drills along with a wide range of games. This program is designed to get players ready for the next steps in their hockey career.
Fall Session: September - DecemberThe Student Hockey League is a great way for Penn State students, faculty, and staff to continue to play the game they love. Each team is guaranteed 8 games and a playoff is held to determine a champion. This is a full contact league and full hockey equipment including helmets with a facemask is required.
Fall Session: September - DecemberSticktime is open ice for hockey players to work on their skills. Sticktimes are available throughout the week. Sticktime sessions are $11.00 per hour. A helmet with full face shield is required to participate. Sticktime sessions vary each week, to view the calendar and register for a sticktime session click here.
Hockey clinics are offered throughout the year by our Pegula Ice Arena Hockey Coaches. Each clinic focuses on a specific skill for a specific age group. For clinic offerings click here.

Pegula Ice Arena offers public skating sessions on Sundays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Public skating sessions are open to all ages and all skill levels. Figure or hockey skates may be worn and both are available for rent.
